If you’ve managed to miss out on anything concerning Homeworld: Deserts of Kharak development, art and potential spoilers, we got a treat for you right here. However, the following post will be spoiler free in a certain way, depending of the choice whether you decide to click on some of the following videos. Because those are all major Homeworld DOK spoilers. We loved them.
With only a week left until the release of Homeworld DOK, the guys from the independent game development studio Black Bird Interactive and well known Gearbox Software decided that the time has come to provide us with an official gameplay video. Certainly, a great number of us asked for this official sneak peek into the sands of the Great Desert and today we got our wishes granted:
Homeworld DOK Gameplay on IGN:
You can read the full article here. The IGN’s very own Dan Stapleton had the opportunity to witness the gameplay of the BBI’s lead game designer Rory McGuire and interview Rob Cunningham as they explored the Deserts. We feel nothing except envy towards Dan (signed FoH collectively;)).
But wait, there is more. The BBI just published a video titled Homeworld: Deserts of Kharak Developer Diary. Take me seriously this time – there are some major spoilers in this video down below. Including the backstory of DoK.
Deserts of Kharak is an epic sci-fi road trip on the planet Kharak. It’s the prequel to the Homeworld’s first story. So, in Homeworld One it says that 100 years ago an object was discovered in the sands of the great desert. An expedition was sent. This is that expedition.
Rob Cunningham revealed this piece of info and proved every of our speculations to be true. To our satisfaction, DOK is staying loyal with design to the HW we all know and love, and a story of Rachel S’jet, an ancestor of Karan S’jet, fighting in the Deserts of Kharak is a reason good enough for us to get goosebumps.
The media is going crazy today over the HW videos, and FoH is no different. We’re all pretty excited to explore the sands of the Great Desert. Those who haven’t can still pre-order their copy of DOK right here:
